Sarah
Owner & Lead Designer
With a passion for bespoke event design, Sarah creates unforgettable, highly personalized experiences that feel modern yet timeless. Type A and a go-getter at heart who is most fulfilled by seeing her clients’ joy living out the experiences she helped bring to life for them.
After being born and raised in the Washington, DC area and earning a degree in Business Administration from Towson University, Sarah’s unique combination of local sensibility, business acumen, and creative vision led her to found SKE in 2016. In the intervening years she’s quickly grown to recognition as one of the top event planners in DC. In addition to being named a top Event Planner by Washingtonian Magazine since 2019, she was awarded “Editor’s Pick” in Event Planning and Design from 2019 - 2020.
She is known by her clients and industry colleagues for her calming and positive energy, impeccable attention to detail, and her ability to find quick solutions under pressure. In her free time, she enjoys being a stage mom to her sweet Maltese Moritz, working on home decor projects, watching the latest Real Housewives or Bravo series with a glass of rosé, hiking, Peloton rides, and checking out new restaurants in and around DC.
Michelle
Event Producer
Michelle joined the SKE team in 2018 with a background of planning corporate events and working as a bridal attendant at a local country club. Her genuinely kind and caring personality, dedicated work ethic and understanding the unique logistics of weddings have made her a well-loved member of our team by clients and vendors alike.
Michelle values the relationships she builds with our clients and especially making their planning experience feel effortless and stress-free. In addition to producing and assisting at dozens of weddings with SKE, Michelle holds a Certified Meeting Professional designation.
In her free time, she enjoys trying out new restaurants around DC, binge watching Love Island UK and anything on HGTV. She supports having pineapple on pizza and iced coffee no matter the time of year.
