Sarah Kazemburg, Founder & Lead Planner
There is something so magical about the celebration of love with two people making the commitment to spend the rest of their lives together. It's an honor to be given the opportunity to make a positive impact on not just the event, but my clients' state of mind during such an incredibly special time.
I have lived in the DC metropolitan area my entire life and am proud to call it home (Go Redskins!). Prior to launching SKb Events, I graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and went on to have an eight year career in the legal services industry. While I knew that I excelled working under pressure and managing many moving parts, I was longing for a creative outlet.
After discovering the world of wedding planning, I knew that I had found my happy place. I find endless inspiration in the emotions, the relationships, the challenges, and of course the pretty creations that piece together the first day of happily ever after.
In my free time, I'm most likely spending time with my handsome and supportive husband Michael and our puppy maltese Moritz, hiking, taking an intense cycling class, traveling and exploring new places, playing with floral arrangements or perusing HomeGoods.
"The second I met Sarah, I knew instantly that she 'got it' and thanks to her, our wedding weekend was everything we dreamed of and so much more. She was incredibly patient and immediately responsive, and her attention to detail kept me organized and tuned in while still eliminating so much stress just knowing she was there to rely on for advice and recommendations. A month before the wedding, she took over all vendor communication and timeline coordination, which was SO amazing. I was able to enjoy the weeks leading up to the wedding without stress or worry of forgetting anything, knowing she was on top of it. Thanks to Sarah, the wedding day seemed to magically come together while we could just relax and soak it all in, and it went absolutely perfectly. I cannot recommend her enough, and I can't imagine how I would have gone through this process without her."
